Klaus Spremann held the Chair of Corporate Finance from 1990 till 2012 when he was conferred Emeritus Professor.

Corporate Finance is now represented by Prof Dr Markus Schmid

 
The chair's foci in research and teaching as well as in the interaction with the private sector were corporate investment and financing decisions as well as the behavior of financial investors and banks with respect to asset and capital allocation.
