Chair - Prof. Paul Söderlind, Ph.D.

Welcome to the Chair of Finance. Prof. Paul Söderlind, Ph.D. is professor for finance at the University of St. Gallen and has headed the chair since April 2003.


Together with his assistants and assistant professors, Prof. Paul Söderlind, Ph.D. covers the following research areas:

  • Asset Pricing
  • Monetary Policy
  • Monetary Macroeconomics
  • Forecasting

With regard to teaching, courses at the Master as well as the Ph.D. level are offered with an emphasis on econometrics and empirical finance.

Besides his research and teaching at the University of St. Gallen, Prof. Paul Söderlind, Ph.D. is academic advisor to several central banks and research fellow at the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR).
